Summary of publication

The study evaluates the economic impact of community infrastructure projects built through the Government of Timor-Leste's National Program for Village Development (PNDS) with technical support from Australian aid.

The analysis builds on a preliminary study completed in 2016

The evaluation surveyed 145 projects and found that all infrastructure investments in roads, bridges, irrigation and clean water systems exceeded the benchmark rate of return for sound public investments.
