Description

Highlights: new world class testing for malaria available at 86 per cent of Vanuatu's aid posts; 770 people tested positive for malaria January-March 2011; 95 per cent of these people were given effective treatment; 91, 281 families given free insecticide-treated bed nets; and children and communities educated about how to minimise the risk of malaria with bed nets and by reducing malaria breeding sites around their homes and communities.
