Australia’s response to the Horn of Africa Humanitarian crisis, 2011 Evaluation Report

This evaluation assesses the effectiveness of Australia's response to the Horn of Africa Humanitarian crisis and identifies how to improve Australian humanitarian assistance to future slow-onset crises. It found that Australia's response was in keeping with the magnitude of the crisis. Australia's leadership role and the speed and flexibility of Australia's response were notable strengths.
