Australia – Ukraine Nuclear Cooperation Agreement
Status
A nuclear cooperation agreement between Australia and Ukraine was signed by then Foreign Minister, Ms Julie Bishop and Mr Volodymyr Demchyshyn, then Ukrainian Minister for Energy and Coal Industry, on 31 March 2016. The Agreement entered into force on 15 June 2017.
An associated Administrative Arrangement has since been concluded. Once commercial contracts are in place, transfers of Australian uranium to Ukraine could occur.
