The second India-Australia 2+2 Foreign and Defence Secretaries' Dialogue was held in Canberra on 10 October 2018.

The meeting was hosted by Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Frances Adamson, and Secretary of the Department of Defence, Greg Moriarty, with Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale and Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra of India.

The Secretaries discussed opportunities and challenges in the Indo-Pacific region, and practical ways to deepen bilateral strategic and defence engagement in areas of shared interest.
