The third Australia-India 2+2 Foreign and Defence Secretaries' Dialogue was held in New Delhi on 9 December 2019.

The meeting was hosted by Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale and Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar of India, with Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Frances Adamson, and Secretary of the Department of Defence, Greg Moriarty of Australia.

The Secretaries discussed ways to deepen our strategic, defence and economic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, and progressed plans for Prime Minister Scott Morrison's upcoming visit to India in January 2020.

India is one of Australia's most valuable partners in ensuring a stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific.
