Togo
French-speaking Togo is one of Africa's smallest nations.
Togo's economy is heavily dependent on agriculture, with cocoa, cotton and coffee among its leading exports. Togo is also a significant producer of phosphate.
Togo is a member of the African Union, La Francophonie and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). In 2022, Togo joined the Commonwealth of Nations. The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development and the West African Development Bank are headquartered in Lomé.
The Australian Ambassador to Togo is resident in Accra, in neighbouring Ghana.
