Bilateral relations
Australia and Belize established diplomatic relations in 1982. Australia's High Commissioner in Port of Spain has non-resident accreditation to Belize.
Australia and Belize are members of the Commonwealth, World Trade Organisation (WTO) and United Nations (UN).
Belize is a member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Association of Caribbean States (ACS), Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States, Organization of American States (OAS) and the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) grouping.
Australia and Belize are Co-Chairs with Mauritius of the Commonwealth Blue Charter Action Group on Coral Reef Protection and Restoration, and members of the International Coral Reef Initiative.
