Australia participated in the Fourth Intersessional RCEP Ministerial Meeting hosted by Singapore on 3 March 2018.
RCEP Ministers emphasised the immense potential of an RCEP agreement to contribute to the growth of global trade and enhance economic growth, provide more jobs and improve the livelihood of people in the RCEP region in an inclusive way.
Ministers noted progress in the negotiations including the outcomes of the 21st round of negotiations held on 2–9 February 2018 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. They also reaffirmed their resolve to meet RCEP Leaders' instructions to intensify efforts in 2018 towards conclusion.
The next officials level meeting will be held in April 2018 in Singapore.
