Pakistan Aid Program Performance Report 2014-15

Summary of publication

This report summarises the progress of Australia's aid program in Pakistan from July 2014 – June 2015.

This report finds that the Australian aid program has made a strong contribution to development outcomes in Pakistan in 2014-15. Our investments in economic growth had strong results overall, however greater attention is required to maximize women's economic empowerment in these programs. Our support led to important improvements in the delivery of health and education services, with over 120,000 children (over 50 per cent girls) supported to access better education and over 6,600 additional women giving birth with a skilled birth attendant. Closer engagement with our nutrition investment is required over the next year to accelerate the pace of service delivery. The security context and uneven capacity of provincial governments to deliver services remain challenges to our aid delivery, and will be a continued focus of program management in 2015-16.
