Papua New Guinea Strongim Pipol Strongim Nessen (SPSN): Completion Report

Summary of publication

SPSN was a six-year (2010-2016) partnership between the Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Australian governments. Australia invested almost A$120 million under the program to contribute goals under "PNG Vision 2050", the "PNG Development Strategic Plan (2010-2030)" and the "Medium Term Development Plan (20011-2015)". SPSN was delivered by AECOM Services Pty Ltd (formally URS Australia Pty Ltd).

The Completion Report contains lessons learned and recommendations for any new, similar democratic governance program. The Report contains two volumes:

  • Volume 1 provides the review of the overarching achievements of the six-year program, with appendices of program details; and
  • Volume 2 contains a chapter for each of the five individual SPSN components, and further appendices of program details including 48 case studies of SPSN's contribution to improving the lives of people in PNG.
