This publication describes Australia's development cooperation strategy in Laos.

A new strategy is close to finalisation, which covers the period 2009 to 2015. The new strategy involves deepened support for basic education; support for inclusive growth through a continued focus on trade and investment promotion; and an integrated approach to rural development, with an emphasis on livelihoods support, rural infrastructure and unexploded ordnance risk reduction.
