Scholarships panel

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) will be releasing a tender in mid-late 2021 seeking Managing Contractors for a new Scholarships Panel arrangement. The panel will provide DFAT with a more consistent approach to administering Scholarships programs (including Australia Awards) across the globe as well as applying Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning processes and reporting.

Scholarships programs contribute to the long-term objectives of promoting growth and stability in our region, as well as strengthening links between people and organisations to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation. They equip recipients with the skills and knowledge to drive change and contribute to the economic and social development of their own countries, in effect, building the human resource capacity of partner countries within mutually agreed development sectors.

Managing Contractors selected on the panel will be able to deliver a variety of services including:

  • Undertaking the full suite of scholarship based services (advertising, interviewing, awarding, mobilising, supporting etc…).
  • Identify and facilitate delivery of short-term training and professional development courses
  • Alumni based support
  • Monitoring and Evaluation of the programs
  • Potentially other value added services.

More information on this opportunity will be available with the release of the tender.

We encourage all interested organisations to register on AusTender at: www.tenders.gov.au; and to update their notification settings to receive email notifications on the Scholarships Panel approach to market when it is released.

Any updates to the procurement timeline can be found on the Aid Procurement Pipeline.
