Congratulations to 2021 New Colombo Plan Scholars and Fellows

In a special online event on Friday, 27 November 2020, Senator the Hon Marise Payne, and Patron of the New Colombo Plan, His Excellency Governor-General of Australia, David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), welcomed New Colombo Plan Scholars and Fellows for 2021.

“Next year, the New Colombo Plan will support 125 Australian undergraduate students from 38 universities with long-term scholarships to live, learn and connect across 26 locations. In a time of major global disruption, our Scholars have demonstrated enthusiasm, fortitude and dedication to enhancing Australia’s relationships with the Indo-Pacific. I am confident that this new generation of leaders will find friendships, create and grow durable networks, and deepen our ties to our region.” Minister Payne
