Centre for Australia-India Relations

On 23 May 2023, the Prime Minister announced the launch of the Centre for Australia-India Relations as a national platform to support greater understanding of the bilateral relationship with India and seize new opportunities for collaboration. It will be based in Parramatta with a presence in the Sydney CBD. The Centre is building business links, engaging Indian Australian communities, promoting policy dialogue and deepening cultural connections. It also delivers the Maitri (friendship) program of scholarships, fellowships, cultural partnerships and grants.
