Under the Amplify-Invest-Reach (A-I-R) Partnership, DFAT provided approximately $3.5 million to women’s rights organisations in 2023. Through A-I-R, with Australian funding, key partners Women’s Fund Asia, Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Human Rights – Asia and the Pacific, Women’s Fund Fiji and the Pacific Feminist Fund made grants to 79 women’s rights organisations in 25 countries in Asia and the Pacific. A-I-R is a catalytic investment in the critical work of women’s funds to support human rights defenders and advocacy for the rights of women, girls and other groups experiencing marginalisation in countries across the Indo-Pacific region.
