2016 Successful grant recipients

Australia-Korea Foundation (AKF) is pleased to announce the successful grant recipients for 2016-17 round.

The AKF awarded funding to 46 projects across the four strategic priority areas of Building Cultural Understanding, Reciprocal Australian and Korean Studies, Technological and Scientific Innovation and Trade Diplomacy and Geopolitics.

The AKF Chair, Mr Peter Coleman said "I congratulate all the successful grant recipients in the 2016-17 round and wish them great success in the implementation." .

The annual competitive grant program is the AKF's main vehicle for supporting Australian education, cultural, youth and business institutions to develop and advance their engagement with Korea. In the 2016-17 round, the AKF actively encouraged multi-year grant applications in order to maximise project impact. This led to a third of the applications received being multi-year. Twelve of the successful grants are multi-year projects.

This year's successful grants also include projects that are championed by AKF board members. "I would like to thank all the board members for their efforts in identifying the projects, sourcing project proponents and shaping the grant applications." Mr Coleman said.

Meet our 2016 grantees here.
