Boundless opportunities’ put Swinburne law graduate on top

A big congratulations to 2018 New Colombo Plan scholar Jake Boudsocq on being awarded a 2020 Victorian Supreme Court Prize for academic excellence! Jake travelled to Indonesia for a semester of legal studies and interned in China and Singapore. Jake graduated at the top of his class at Swinburne University of Technology and is now working as a graduate lawyer at leading law firms Allens.

Jake is also the recipient of a 2020 Supreme Court Prize — a prestigious award honouring the top student at each of Victoria's eight law schools.

In 2017, Jake was one of the 120 to secure a New Colombo Plan Scholarship. The scholarship took Jake to Indonesia for a semester of legal studies (with some language learning on the side), to Singapore and China for legal internships, and to various parts of the Indo-Pacific for diplomatic events hosted by the Australian Government and foreign consulates.
