This project will see Indigenous performers based in Australia present live virtual presentations to guests in San Diego Zoo/Safari Park. The virtual presentations will link to the existing native Australian animals in the San Diego collections to promote Australia and Australian Indigenous storytelling. Indigenous cultural interpretation officers and presenters will broadcast from the Aboriginal-owned Yugambeh Museum in Beenleigh, Queensland and explain Indigenous links to the animals exhibited at the zoo, through a mixture of song, dance, art, storytelling and performance.
