DFAT commissioned an End of Program Review (EPR) of the Australia Awards in Indonesia (AAI) Program in October 2020. The review is intended to distil the learning from the AAI Program as implemented from 2014 to the present, in order to inform DFAT on the shape of a future Australia Awards program in Indonesia.
The final EPR Report was accepted by DFAT in February 2021. The review found that AAI continues to demonstrate significant strengths including ‘gold standard’ program management together with other findings on relevance, effectiveness and efficiency. It also provides suggestions on the future direction of the program within an evolving global context. DFAT has responded to the report findings and recommendations through the Management Response. Accepted recommendations will be addressed over the coming months, with some to be considered as part of the design of the new program.
