Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP)

The 2021-22 Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) Performance Snapshot presents aggregated data on program-wide performance, against agreed and common indicators. It outlines the program’s support for health, stability and economic recovery in line with Partnerships for Recovery: Australia’s COVID-19 Development Response and provides an overview of how the ANCP supported other Australian development program priorities including gender equality and climate finance.

The Evaluation Plan has been developed by the Tetra Tech evaluation team with input from DFAT and the Development Practice Committee (DPC) of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID). The document builds on the evaluation team’s proposal and addresses the Terms of Reference (ToR) by providing specific details on how the evaluation will be implemented. This includes details on the approach, methodology, tools and how the work will be allocated among team members.

The ANCP is a unique global program and DFAT's key partnership with Australian Non-Government Organisations (NGOs). Established in 1974, the ANCP provides funding to accredited Australian NGOs to implement projects consistent with the goals of Australia’s development program.

The Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) Performance Snapshot for 2020-21 outlines the program’s support for health, stability and economic recovery in line with Partnerships for Recovery: Australia’s COVID-19 Development Response. It also highlights further 2020-21 program outcomes, including ANCP’s expenditure against the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); information on ANCP’s commitment to build the capacity of in-country implementing partners and communities; ANCP gender equality and disability inclusion data; and details of ANCP NGO financial contributions.

This document is a summary of the ANCP Acknowledgment and Engagement guidelines. These guidelines are covered in full in Section 8 of the ANCP Manual.

ANCP NGOs and their in-country partners deliver effective development programs with a commitment to gender equality and social inclusion. This publication draws together a range of case studies provided by ANCP NGOs to demonstrate how the program is working towards gender equality and social inclusion.
