Japan hosted the fourth Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Intersessional Trade Negotiating Committee (TNC) and Related Meetings from 25-29 June in Tokyo, Japan.

The meeting was attended by the lead negotiators and respective delegations from ASEAN Members States (AMS), Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, and New Zealand.

The TNC was held in parallel with the meetings of the Sub-Working Group on Customs Procedures and Trade Facilitation, the Working Groups on Electronic Commerce and Intellectual Property. In parallel, discussions on legal and institutional issues were held in Singapore.

Stakeholder engagement was held on 28 June. The event was attended by the TNC, relevant Working Groups and Sub-Working Group as well as representatives from the business sector, academia, non-government organisations, and other stakeholders.

The 23rd round of negotiations will be held on 17-27 July 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.
