GPFD Submissions in Smartygrants Tips and Troubleshooting

Smartygrants is the online grants management system, developed by the Australian Institute for Grant Management, and being used for Government Partnerships for Development (GPFD) for new rounds and implementation of approved Activities. Please keep in mind this useful information when working on your application in Smartygrants.

  1. There should only be one login per application. If you have more than one person requiring access to the application form, we recommend both officers share a common login. However, remember only one person can edit an application at a time.
  2. If you would prefer to work or review the submission offline with other colleagues, you can generate a PDF of your application from the Review Section.

Alternatively the main headings can be cut and paste from Smartygrants into a Word document as a working template prior to entering the final content.

  3. Forgotten your password? Call SmartyGrants Helpdesk.
  4. An application form cannot be submitted unless all mandatory fields have been completed.
  5. There is no cost for registering with Smartygrants or for submitting a proposal.
  6. All applications prepared under your login details - uncompleted and completed - can be viewed under the My Submissions link after logging in to Smarty Grants (see screenshot below). Make sure you don't click the Fill Out Now link, as you will start a second application.

However in the event you have started a second application which is not required, please contact the Smartygrants Helpdesk. They will be able to delete the unwanted application from your account.
