Dr Ralph King
Dr King is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was most recently Assistant Secretary, Consular Crisis Operations COVID-19 Branch. He has previously served overseas as Head of Mission in Riyadh, Cairo and Kuwait and as Deputy Head of Mission in Hanoi.
In Canberra, Dr King has worked as Director of Speechwriting, Security Policy and Afghanistan Domestic sections.
Dr King holds a PhD of International Relations from the Australian National University, a Masters of International Relations from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor (Hons) in Arabic & Middle East Studies from the University of Melbourne.
