This document details the framework for the Strategic Partnership Agreement between AusAID and the United Nations World Food Programme.

Description

This Strategic Partnership Agreement was signed between Australia and the United Nations World Food Programme in October 2009. The Strategic Partnership Agreement commits Australia to providing $180 million worth of funding to the World Food Programme over four years (2009-2013). Of this $180 million, $140 million is contributed towards the World Food Programme's global operations, while $40 million is put towards dedicated school feeding programs.

WFP is the world's largest humanitarian agency and the United Nations frontline agency in the fight against hunger.
