This country strategy describes Australia's development cooperation program with Africa for the period 2003-2007.
Southern and eastern African countries are the major focus including a continuation of support for the post-apartheid transformation in South Africa. Engagement in exceptional circumstances with other countries in sub-Saharan Africa will address, on a small scale, selective development and humanitarian needs.
