Summary of publication
The 2017-18 Australia Awards Aid Program Performance Report provides a global picture of the performance of Australia Awards.
It outlines progress against the four outcomes of the Australia Awards Global Strategy:
- Alumni using their skills, knowledge and networks to contribute to sustainable development
- Alumni contributing to cooperation between Australia and partner countries
- Effective, mutually advantageous partnerships between institutions and businesses in Australia and partner countries
- Alumni view Australia, Australians and Australian expertise positively.
In 2017-18, the Australia Awards budget allocation was $300.5 million. This equated to 3,871 new Australia Awards in over 60 countries with awardees studying at over 50 institutions.
