Summary of publication

This Design Document describes the context and implementation arrangements for the Australia-Indonesia Education Partnership which commenced in 2011. The design document outlines the rationale and framework for the $500 million Australian assistance to the education sector in Indonesia over the next five years. It details the multi-donor program arrangements including partnering with the European Union and the four Australian-funded components of the partnership. The new program will focus on assisting Indonesia improve education quality and school management. The design document also outlines the roles of the Government of Indonesia, AusAID, other donors and managing contractors in implementing the program.
