Description

This is a summary of mine action activities Australia supported in 2010–11 both globally and in 12 particular countries. It summarises Australian activities administered in partnership with other governments, non-government organisations, multilateral organisations and, more broadly, civil society. The 12 countries are Afghanistan, Cambodia, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Lao PDR, Lebanon, Sri Lanka and Uganda.

Mine clearance, mine action coordination, advocacy/universalisation, risk education and victim assistance are the chief kinds of activities detailed.
