This survey assessed the extent of the Partnering to Save Lives program's achievements, and identified possible factors impacting these achivements.
Partnering to Save Lives aimed to save the lives of women and newborns by improving quality, access and use of reproductive, maternal and newborn health services. It was a partnership between the Australian Government, the Cambodian Ministry of Health, CARE Australia, Marie Stopes Australia and Save the Children Australia.
The report found the program contributed to: improvements in midwifery skills, accessibility of services, the proportion of women giving birth supervised in health facilities, knowledge of pregnancy and neonatal danger signs; and decreased discrimination against vulnerable groups.
