Summary of publication

The arrangement outlines the terms and conditions of an Australian contribution of US$1.59 million to the World Health Organisation for the Pacific Human Resources for Health Alliance 2008-2011. The goal of the project is to strengthen health human resources and health services in Pacific countries. The arrangement outlines activities, outputs and management to achieve the following objectives:

• Facilitate health human resource partnerships and coordination within and between Pacific countries
• Provide a hub for information and analysis of Pacific health human resource needs and trends
• Enable more effective and efficient national and regional health human resource management in the Pacific.
