IPPF's strategic framework 2005–15 focuses on five priority areas:

1. ensuring young people and adolescents have access to and are aware of sexual and reproductive health services and information and rights
2. HIV/ AIDS prevention and care
3. reducing the incidence of unsafe abortion
4. access to sexual and reproductive health services and information
5. advocacy for sexual and reproductive health rights.
