Summary of publication

Australia's Laos Hydropower & Mining Technical Assistance project, in partnership with the World Bank, provides technical advice to promote best practice approaches to hydropower and mining in Laos. For example, the project aims to facilitate good governance, sound fiscal performance and sustainable natural resources management by equipping authorities with the tools, instruments, procedures, systems, regulations, and guidelines necessary to implement the laws effectively and transparently. The final independent program evaluation of the project was completed in September 2014.
