Description
This document contains a series of tables of Social and Economic Indicators
for PNG. The Indicators provide a useful data summary of the social and
economic situation in PNG. This collection of 25 tables was collated from a
variety of sources including the World Bank, UNDP, PNG National Statistics
Office, Bank of Papua New Guinea, AusAID and DAC.
The tables include: Basic and social indicators relative to other Pacific
Island and South East Asian countries; gender comparisons across the country;
GDP by expenditure component, shares, growth rates; industry contribution to
GDP and growth rates; index's of private formal employment; prices and
wages; National Government revenue and expenditure; Government debt and balance
of payments; export values, shares, prices and quantity; exchange rates,
monetary conditions and aid flows.
