Description
The second Health Workforce Plan is intended to guide collaboration between the Ministry of Health and other agencies involved in training and allocation of scholarships. It includes measures to increase health workforce efficiency and improve productivity, including issues such as recruitment, retention and motivation of staff, deployment, and performance management. The plan describes the health workforce in 2004, likely future human resource needs, and costs for the minimum required to assure essential health services to the population.
