Description

This document details the understandings of AusAID and the Secretariat of the Pacific Community concerning respective responsibilities for AusAID grant funding to the Secretariat 2011–2015, including guiding principles, implementation and management, and funds administration (including the use of Annex A for program grant agreements).

The Arrangement commits AusAID and the Secretariat of the Pacific Community to a partnership to deliver the Secretariat's Corporate Plan, according to the following principles:

• a focus on member priorities
• respond to needs
• alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development
• promote gender, environmental and cultural sensitivity
• provide excellent service
• emphasis results and accountability
• operate with transparency.

The Arrangement sets out how AusAID contributions to the Secretariat will be administered and managed. It commits both parties to improving coordination among donors to the Secretariat, and with other organisations doing similar work in the Pacific.
