Solomon Islands Aid Program Performance Report 2016-17

Summary of publication

The 2016-17 Solomon Islands Aid Program Performance Report outlines progress against the three strategic pillars Solomon Islands and Australia have prioritised under our 2015 Aid Investment Plan (AIP): supporting stability, enabling economic growth and enhancing human development.

Australia's focus in 2017 was the conclusion of the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI) on 30 June and transition of support to our bilateral program. Despite this significant change and other challenges faced this year, the program is on track and performing strongly. Australia remains Solomon Islands largest aid donor and continues to provide policy and technical advice to support Solomon Islands Government.

In 2016-17, Australia's total official development assistance budget to Solomon Islands was $164.1 million. DFAT continues to lead and coordinate Australia's development program in Solomon Islands.
