In 2017-18 Australia's total official development assistance to Sri Lanka was $27.6 million.
The aid program was delivered through international and Sri Lankan agencies and managing contractors. It aimed to build an economic partnership with Sri Lanka, and to help set the conditions for private sector-led economic growth that was inclusive and reduced poverty. This report is an assessment of the department's success against three objectives: to expand economic opportunities for the poor; to support government to be more responsive to the needs of citizens and the private sector; and to increase gender equality.
