Description
The Subsidiary Arrangement describes an initial 15-month activity to promote justice and provide fair and equitable services to meet community needs, the rule of law and protection of human rights. The activity will assist the Government of Vanuatu to lead and coordinate law and justice-related services.
The program will improve law and justice sector policy and coordination. It will sustainably deliver formal and community-based services to resolve disputes and maintain law and order (including policing). It will conduct research and obtain evidence to inform policy development.
The Arrangement includes a wide range of possible research topics. They include sector-wide coordination, human resources and provincial service delivery, through to Family Law, the rights of women, children and people with a disability, and support for victims of crime.
