Description

This document details an agreement between the Government of Australia (represented by AusAID) and the University regarding the University's objectives, commitments, activities and management arrangements for AusAID funding.

The agreement is for AusAID to provide up to $18.35 million to assist the University of the South Pacific with its Strategic Plan priorities of enhancing:

  • The success of USP students through improved student support
  • The university's research capacity and accessibility and usefulness of the research to Pacific member countries
  • Efficiency and effectiveness of the university's administration and academic programs
  • Public awareness of the outcomes of the partnership
  • A closer, stronger and more transparent partnership with a focus on outcomes.

The funding includes annual incentive funding amounts specified in the implementation schedules. These amounts are subject to satisfactory achievement of agreed targets (such as staffing improvements, increased student pass rates and management improvements).
