The 64 poorest counties in the world assisted by the International Development Association are highlighted in yellow. The 62 middle-income counties assisted by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development are highlighted in brown. The 17 transition counties assisted by both the International Development Association and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development are highlighted in turquoise. These are Armenia, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cape Verde, Dominica, Georgia, Grenada, India, Mongolia, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.
All remaining countries are highlighted in blue.
Note: South Sudan became a member of the World Bank in 2012. It is expected to be eligible to receive assistance and financing from the International Development Association in 2012–13. South Sudan is currently being supported by several World Bank trust fund activities.
Twenty-eight of the countries assisted by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development are former recipients of International Development Association assistance that have achieved significant development gains. Several of these graduates are now donors themselves, including China, South Korea and Turkey.
