Phub Dorji, a researcher employed with the Supreme Court of Bhutan, was selected for an Australia Award to study for a Masters course in Law at the University of Canberra. After completing his studies, he was deputed to the Bhutan National Legal Institute which, in his capacity as a legal researcher, he also helped to establish. The Institute trains pre-service and in-service judicial personnel. Phub is also making important contributions to a feasibility study on establishing a Children's Court and a Family Court in Bhutan.

'I'm very happy with my achievements. The scholarship opportunity has opened the door for me', Phub said. 'I have not only excelled in my studies but also had an opportunity to make many friends and exchange ideas. I have also won the hearts of many professors and lecturers at the University. I am more than satisfied, and it is now my turn to do something for the country and people'.
