Summary of publication
In 2014-15, Australia's total ODA expenditure in Timor-Leste was $A105.9 million. Australia remained Timor-Leste's largest development partner, accounting for 42 per cent of total ODA, reflecting Australia's enduring commitment to Timor-Leste's stability and prosperity. The program was implemented in accordance with the priorities jointly agreed by the Governments of Timor-Leste and Australia in the Strategic Planning Agreement for Development. Consistent with the Australian Government's development policy objectives, the aid program engaged with the private sector and promoted innovation and gender equality. We continued to prioritise consolidation, reducing investments by 39 per cent. Investments in agriculture and community development showed encouraging results, and performance in the water and sanitation and education sectors improved from last year.
