Summary of publication
This report summarises the performance of Australia's aid program to Bangladesh over the period of July 2017 to June 2018.
In 2017-18, Australia's aid program provided $89.9 million in official development assistance to Bangladesh through strategic partnerships with the Government of Bangladesh, World Food Programme, UK Department for International Development and BRAC NGO. During the reporting period a significant portion of Australian Aid assistance supported the Rohingya humanitarian crisis, both in the refugee camps and the Bangladesh host community in Cox's Bazar. This report finds that in 2017-18 Australia's aid program made good progress against our two key objectives: improving education access, equity, efficiency and learning outcomes; and building resilience by reducing vulnerability and improving inclusion in the growing economy.
