Nepal Aid Program Performance Report 2013-14

Summary of publication

This report summarises progress for the Australian aid program to Nepal in 2013-14 against two objectives: 1) Expand economic opportunities for the poor by promoting enterprise and job creation; 2) Promote Nepal's human development to expand participation and productivity of the poor. This report finds that the Australian aid program is relevant to Nepal's development priorities, and is aligned with Australia's aid policy. It finds that in 2013-14, Australia continued its collaboration with UNDP to alleviate poverty through supporting micro-enterprises, reaching some of the poorest and most marginalised people in Nepal. Australia's aid also helped improve access to primary education and maternal and child health services through partnerships with the Government of Nepal and donors.
