Democratic Governance Programs in PNG—Strongim Pipol Strongim Nesen (SPSN) and Church Partnership Program (CPP): Independent review

Summary of publication

The purpose of this independent review is to:

  1. Assess the implementation and achievements of two major Democratic Governance programs currently implemented under the Australian aid program in Papua New Guinea, namely: Strongim Pipol Strongim Nesen (SPSN) and the Church Partnership Program Phase 2 (CPP)
  2. Recommend improvements to strengthen current implementation of both programs and identify lessons to inform the design of future democratic governance programs in PNG, and
  3. Assess the relevance of the existing democratic governance strategy and whether AusAID has effectively implemented the strategy through its programs.
