Summary of publication

The ISR report recommends a range of measures to improve sustainability that includes:

1. an increased focus on strengthening the links and partnerships between DepEd and existing local networks/organisations serving both IP and Muslim Communities;
2. Support for the current efforts of the of the Indigenous Peoples Education Office(IPsEO) to link DepEd and IP networks, including at the Regional, Division and school levels;
3. Encouraging the Office of Muslim Education (OME) to focus on similar linking strategy and maintaining minimum sufficient TA support for Muslim Education at Region and division levels; and
4. ensuring that the final design elements of the BEST Program commits to supporting the Indigenous Peoples Education Program.
