Summary of publication

A review of the Australia-Africa Partnerships Facility (AAPF) (2009-2015) was undertaken in June 2013 by an independent evaluation team to evaluate the operational management of the AAPF and the quality of a sample of activities. The review team provided recommendations for improving the delivery and effectiveness of a mechanism such as the AAPF to improve capacity development in Africa. The recommendations that were agreed to by DFAT have been actioned or are in the process of being actioned, and will inform the design of a successor program focused on extractives governance.
