Description

This document sets out an implementation strategy for 'Improved Health', which is Priority Outcome 2 of the Tonga–Australia Partnership for Development.

Australia agrees to provide financial and technical support for Tonga to achieve three things: a reduced prevalence of non-communicable disease risk factors; a preventive health care budget at 10% of the total public health budget by 2015; and common standards for primary health care.

This document details an implementation strategy to achieve these aims, including sector budget support, donor coordination responsibilities, Government of Tonga commitments and indicators to measure progress.
