Summary of publication
This is the primary regional delivery strategy to prevent, control, and eradicate foot and mouth disease in South East Asia and China by 2020.
This second edition of the strategy now takes into account the changing socioeconomic context in the region and how these can impact on efforts to eradicate FMD.
Priority areas, based on lessons learned, include: an increased focus on partnerships and in-country activities, ownership and commitment of partner governments, effective monitoring and evaluation, advocacy, and vaccination.
